Community and Events Fundraising Manager

Harris Hill has an excellent opportunity for a Community and Events Fundraising Manager to join a hospice on a 3-6 month contract.

The Community & Events Fundraising Manager will be responsible for engaging with the local community individuals, groups, schools, businesses and religious organisations to deliver 365K in income through events and fundraising. You will be responsible for developing new events and products and ensuring that all fundraising activities are developed and delivered.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
To produce , manage and deliver planned income and expenditure budget for events and community fundraising including in-memory giving
To oversee delivery of challenge events including flagship Walk (Sept), London Marathon, Run Hackney and Santa Run to reach maximum participation and income potential
To oversee development of new challenge, in-memory and community events to engage local community and raise income
To oversee meaningful and effective stewardship of event participants and independent fundraisers to maximise their enjoyment and fundraising potential
To oversee engagement with local community businesses, schools, groups and religious organisations forming mutually beneficial partnerships to raise awareness and income
To develop existing and new fundraising campaigns for community supporters to use in their fundraising
Work with fundraising managers (Corporate, Philanthropy, IG and Trusts) to ensure local contacts are maximised and joint projects are effectively delivered
Keep up to date with best practice in fundraising and ensure compliance with latest legislation
Maintain links with wider events and community fundraising through forums, social groups to keep abreast of trends and competitor activity
To manage and motivate volunteers to give their best in supporting the fundraising team
To provide regular, reliable line management to staff to ensure they give their best and can develop their potential.
The role will commence on the 21st July, will manage 2 members of staff and have a concentration on community and in-memory.
