Community and Events Manager

Job description

A national healthcare charity are looking to appoint a Community & Events Manager in London. You will be required to deliver an exciting portfolio of events and community fundraising which meet or exceed income targets.

Key Responsibilities:
-Generate income from a portfolio of community and events activities to deliver or exceed annual income targets

-Review, develop and implement the charities UK wide community and events fundraising activities and products to deliver the budget income.

-Engage with and lead fundraising teams collectively to deliver a programme of community and event fundraising activities including third party events

-Review and develop through analysis, challenge, improvement and innovation the organisations community and event fundraising activities to ensure they meet the needs of supporters, fundraising groups and donors.

-Manage community and events officers from performance and development

-Be accountable for delivery of the income from community and events activities


To be considered you must have the following:

-Proven experience of developing programmes of activity and business plans to recruit, engage, inspire and retain fundraisers and community groups

-Extensive experience of delivering UK-wide community or event fundraising activities across a wide portfolio of products and audiences, working with local groups and volunteers.

-Strong relationship building skills, including outstanding verbal and written communication skills

-Experience of working in a fundraising management team to develop, communicate and implement business plans -with line management

-Experience of financial and budgetary management
