Community Fundraiser

Job description

Harris Hill are delighted to be working with a disabled charity in their search for an enthusiastic Community Fundraising (3-4 days a week) in order in conjunction with the Head of Fundraising and Marketing, develop and implement a strategy for securing donations from the local community based in Surrey.


Salary: 26,000 - 28,000 per annum
Contract type: 3- 4 days a week, flexible working

Deadline :8th March at 8am

You will represent the charity within the local community by attending community events. Research and build relationships with groups and people from the local community. You will be also responsible for handling donations both internally and externally; manage and support volunteers in the office and within the local community and to recruit others when necessary


You will ideally have:


Proven expertise in high value and varied fundraising success.
Sound numerical skills and the ability to develop and manage budgets and have excellent record keeping skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Excellent organisational skills -you must be highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks in order to meet deadlines, organise own time and resources efficiently.
Excellent networking and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain good, strong relationships
Ability to negotiate, make decisions and act on their own initiative, with an awareness of business activities on site and have attention to detail.
Have the ability to operate in a flexible manner.
Ability to work as a member of a team and the ability to prioritise a diverse workload
Self-motivated, you will be comfortable working to tight deadlines, on your own initiative and without supervision and must be able to plan the day as well as react to unplanned events.
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office.
