Community Fundraising Manager

Job description

A great opportunity has arisen for a Community Fundraising Manager for a health related charity in order to oversee the majority of the charity Community activity, evaluating existing activity and spotting opportunities for growth.

Key responsibilities:

Working with the Head of Community Fundraising, develop and deliver the Community Fundraising strategy, including evaluating activity year on year, developing ways of measuring KPIs and collaboratively setting targets.
Leading by example, manage the team to achieve financial and non-financial targets, identifying areas for growth within Community.
Oversee and deliver bespoke relationship management to our high value supporters, ensuring they receive the best possible care and stewardship.
Take the lead in evaluating and improving all supporter journeys, drawing on experience and monitoring sector trends to inform our work.
Determine the different levels of support and engagement from existing and prospective supporters, identifying those with the highest fundraising potential.
Oversee delivery and development of existing community products, ensuring robust evaluation measures are in place to inform future events.
Research, plan and deliver new community fundraising products and opportunities, ensuring robust testing and implementation processes are in place.
Line manage the Community Fundraising Officers, offering day to day support and guidance.

Person specification:

Working to income targets and within agreed expenditure budgets
Identifying, developing and progressing relationships with high value supporters and organisations
Delivering high quality supporter care to volunteers and fundraisers, with knowledge of relationship fundraising
Pitching to community groups and associations and managing the ensuing relationships to maximise engagement and fundraised income
Relevant and demonstrable experience of project managing successful fundraising events or campaigns
Adapting your tone to communicate with a wide range of audiences and stakeholders
Using databases to accurately record information and interpret data to inform community activity
Managing and setting budgets
Able to work independently and see projects through to completion
Able to prioritise a challenging and varied workload, and guide line reports to do the same
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong IT skills, preferably including experience with Mailchimp, Engaging Networks or similar
