Community Fundraising Manager

Job description

We are thrilled to be working with an exciting horticultural charity who are looking for a Community Fundraising Manager. You will be cultivating new and also maintaining existing volunteer and fundraising relationships. This is an exciting time to join whilst they embark on a period of massive growth, so you can be a part of something big! This role can be based in their office in Surrey or home based if outside the county.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan, co-ordinate and deliver events and community fundraising alongside the Events manager to reach income targets
Support and cultivate existing and new volunteers, individual supporters, partnership and events to help maximise their fundraising
Establish new local volunteer groups
Attend networking events, give talks and presentations to train/recruit volunteers
Create processes and procedures for effective stewardship and retention of volunteers
Maximise income from Charity of the Year partnerships with local businesses

Skills and experience needed:
At least 2 years' experience in a fundraising role
Excellent interpersonal skills: writing, speaking, presenting, negotiation and a confident phone manner
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to monitor budget and keep accurate financial records and working to income targets
Very good Microsoft Office skills (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience of using databases
