Community Lead (Football)

Job description

Harris Hill is delighted to be working with one of the countries leading grief support charities in their search for a Community Lead. This role is responsible for firstly driving the promotion, organisation and delivery of the established Charity's football teams within the community, to engage these teams in the work of the charity and to provide them with opportunities to fundraise.

Through the recruitment of new teams and players you will help to grow the supporter base of the charity and will be instrumental in developing and building positive and long-lasting relationships that will underpin the success of each team. Working collaboratively with teams and their members, you will ensure delivery of a world class supporter experience and help supporters to champion the work of the charity and exceed their fundraising targets.

The second aim of this role is to take the core concept of the teams and expand this across different activities and sports and to grow a community of supporters united in their experience of the loss of a loved one and a motivation to support each other and the charity. You'll be creating a world class sports network that reaches out to, and connects with, male audiences through sport, raising awareness of the impact grief has on bereaved men and signpost to support.
