Contract Manager

Job description

Harris Hill is looking for a Contracts Manager on behalf of a large membership organisation focused on supporting medical professionals.

The Contract Manager (based on an initial 6 month FTC) will be responsible for ensuring all contracts engaged by the charity adhere to legislative policies and requirements. The role will utilise a good degree of autonomy in improving, developing, embedding and managing an end-to end process of contract issue, monitoring and contract management for the organisation.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Provide contractual expertise to the charity and oversee the management contracts.

To manage and maintain an accurate contracts register, including contract amendments and monitor and communicate contracts as they are due to expire.

To review the current contract management system and identify areas for improvement 

To develop a Contract Management Guide and implement an ongoing training process for colleagues on the process of engaging consultants and contract management in line with the developed Contract Management Guide 

 

Experience 

Previous experience within contract management and compliance role 

Experience of dealing with a wide range of internal, external and connected stakeholders in a professional manner 

Experience of developing, managing and using a contract management system 

Working within a charity or complex organisation  

Experience of using electronic signature software

Previous experience working within a procurement role

 

Knowledge & Skills 

Excellent interpersonal skills 

Meticulous and methodical with assurance reporting data 

Good working knowledge of all MS office applications, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel 

Good understanding of IR35 and implications of non-compliance 

Excellent understanding of legal contract terms for services 

 

Additional Requirements

Educated to degree level, or equivalent, the successful candidate will have a good understanding of legal contract terms for goods and services, be self-reliant, have natural problem-solving skills and be a team player.
