Contracts Manager

Job description

I am currently looking for a Contracts Manager for an innovative environmental charity on a 12 month FTC. Your role is to ensure that the future needs and priorities of the charity are met.
As a manager you will support, develop and motivate team members to work together to: achieve business and personal development goals; build a collaborative working environment that welcomes change and continuous improvement; and role model strong financial and project management disciplines, as well as excellent planning, organisation and communication.

Main duties:
Leading on drafting and negotiating contracts and associated tenders. You will be responsible for drafting and negotiating contracts, as well as leading on or participating in commercial tenders.
Advising on commercial best practice in relation to contracts and contract management.
The provision of advice on commercial best practice as a subject expert in relation to contracts, contract management and to key projects, including the development and implementation of contract management plans.
Undertake a review of our commercial contracts, working closely with the Commercial Director, Head of Events and Filming, Catering Contract Manager, General Counsel and commercial lawyers, with the purpose of rationalising some of our commercial clauses.
Ensuring team members have clear objectives and development needs are identified. Regularly review these and provide appropriate support.

Personal specification:
Good understanding of contracts and wider legal framework - has experience of drafting, negotiating and agreeing commercial contracts and working on tenders.
Good commercial acumen - has participated in the development of income generating opportunities and has been involved in the delivery of commercial programmes that achieve sustainable growth.
Strong financial planning skills - is able to interpret a wide range of financial data and management information and build robust business cases with fully costed options to assist decision-making.
