Corporate New Business Officer

Job description

Harris Hill is urgently seeking an interim Corporate New Business Officer, ASAP for 3 months, 2 days per week, supporting a not for profit organisation that works in the arts remit.

Role Objectives

In consultation with the Corporate Partnerships Manager and Director of Development, to lead on identifying and engaging a new portfolio of potential corporate supportersTo work with the Director of Development and the Corporate Partnerships Manager to develop new sponsorship opportunities, taking into account current corporate priorities and sector trends.

Key Duties
Research possible corporate partners, preparing updates to discuss with the Corporate Development team
Identify possible corporate supporters for particular areas of work, including concerts, education and community projects, a major fundraising gala, as well as broader initiatives like improving
sustainability and fulfilling the DEI plan
Lead on initial contact with cold prospects, securing introductory meetings, preparing briefings and attending the meetings with a representative from the Corporate Development team
Utilise concerts and events to attract new prospects, ensuring that all leads are thoroughly progressed
Work with the Corporate Development team to develop ongoing cultivation plans for the most promising
contacts and prepare sponsorship proposals as needed

Experience:
Essential
Excellent understanding of the corporate sector, and reasons why businesses engage with charities and particularly the arts
Proven ability in identifying and connecting with prospective corporate partners, either in the charity or corporate sector
Organised, self-motivated, target driven and able to work at a high level in a fast-paced environment
Strong research skills
Strong communication skills, including the ability to quickly assimilate large amounts of information and share it in a form appropriate to a particular audience
Ability to shape a proposal in response to a business’ needs or objectives
High level interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to engage and interact with individuals at all
levels
Motivated by the opportunity to support the work of the organisation, and its mission of sharing great music with as many people as possible
Able to work collaboratively

Desirable
Experience of preparing engaging cases of support for funding for prospective partners
Experience of working in an arts organisation or voluntary sector organisation
Knowledge of the classical music world
