Database Development Manager

Job description

A Charity based in Central London are looking for a Database Development Manager. The Database Development Manager is an exciting opportunity to focus on improving the processes and schema used at one of the UK's leading charities supporting individuals with complex disabilities. There will be a duel focus on both the short and the long term. You will be dedicated to developing the way we use Raisers' Edge to support fundraising activities whilst your colleagues in the database team focus on delivering business as usual activities.
Key responsibilities
Identify and document the stages required to execute database development projects
Keep all relevant documentation up to date within existing ways of working
Provide status reports to colleagues within and beyond the database team
Work with the Head of Fundraising Operations to develop new data schema that drive efficient data capture and insight
Implement new data capture processes to support the new data structures
Map and migrate data from old to new formats, including robust testing and stakeholder signoff phases.
Ensure that development projects are carried out to a rigorously high standard
Conduct a suitable testing process before updating any live systems


Person specification

Experience of having worked on database development projects
Experience working with relational databases in an administrative capacity
Experience translating stakeholder requirements into clear schema
Experience working with Raiser's Edge
An understanding of the core principles of CRM and how they impact on customer experience
Experience of ETL or similar processes
