Job description

A charity based in London are looking for a Database Manager.The successful candidate will lead the database team of 4 providing vital data base management and insight to effectively support the ambitious fundraising strategy and organisation-wide objectives. You will need to manage, develop and maintain the charity's supporter CRM database, and related applications. Please note this role is a 7-month FTC.
Key responsibilities

Responsible for developing and maintaining processes and procedures for data coming into the organisation from third parties, ensuring all third parties adhere to quality and regulatory standards.

Work with the supporter CRM system and other data tools, including Blender, to ensure the Data & Insight team and other database users have the most effective, efficient and appropriate tools to do their job.

Audit the database to ensure data is clean, accurate as part of a rolling programme and that database users are following procedures for data entry and management.


Ensure that the needs of the organisation continue to be met by implementing application upgrades and reviewing potential platform changes.

Identify, plan and deliver CRM and Insight led projects, ensuring project briefs are agreed and deadlines and success criteria met.


Person specification


Proven experience of managing a database function, ideally in a fundraising environment.
Strong team management experience- used to working with staff to deliver outcomes.
Operational planning and delivery. Developing workflows, processes and schedules.
Establishing new processes and ways or working to manage multiple requests.
Setting and managing the delivery of services to clients and working with a framework of service level agreements.
Delivering training and coaching to groups of people as well as in one-to-one situations.
Investigating, evaluating and implementing database and insight solutions which support wider organisational goals and promote effective and efficient ways of working
