Database Officer

Job description

A Charity based in London are looking for a Database Officer. The successful candidate will manage the flow of data in to the database and is responsible for uploading data from external suppliers to CARE. They are also expected to support analysis on an ad hoc basis, to inform decision making around fundraising investment. Please note this a 12 months FTC.

Key responsibilities
Acting as a liaison between the fundraising team and CARE on systems issues
Training staff and office volunteers to ensure accurate use of the database
Maintaining up to date documentation relating to the use of the database for all users
Updating and maintaining the database to support our current active fundraising. For example, ensuring all the current campaign codes are added to the system through the Table Maintenance facility
Uploading and updating donor correspondence onto the system for the fundraising team to use through the Document Maintenance facility.

Person specification
Considerable experience of CRM database systems
A systematic and organised approach with a proven ability to follow things through
Attention to detail with a thorough approach to the area of data processing
The proven ability to carry out different tasks simultaneously and prioritise time and resources accordingly
Excel skills to an intermediate level with the ability to manipulate data to get results
A level of analytical and technical skills
Good interpersonal and negotiating skills with an ability to manage and build relationships with external suppliers as well as with colleagues
Flexibility to take on other related tasks combined with willingness to learn
Fluency in written and spoken English
