Development Administrator

Job description

A collage based in Cambridge are looking for a Development Administrator. The successful candidate is responsible for the running of the Development department's administrative, financial and database requirements which support the department's fundraising, stewardship and alumni engagement activities. The role is varied and is mostly office-based, please note this role is based in Cambridgeshire.
Key responsibilities
Undertake the receipting, processing, administration and reporting of gifts and pledges received in the post and by bank transfer
Track, monitor and administer on-line donations, Direct Debits and regular pledge payments.
Undertake monthly gift reconciliations with the Finance department ensuring for example, that gifts are correctly recorded to the right funds
Monitor and update records for unsubscribes
Deal with returned mail in a timely and organised manner
Undertake all aspects of event administration on the database
Be responsible for the administration and acknowledgement of all gifts to the department and College including the production of standard thank you letters and tailored acknowledgements in a timely manner
Be responsible for general administration
Person specification
Experience of an administrative role within a fundraising environment
Experience of Raiser's Edge or an equivalent database
Experience of gift processing and financial administration and reporting
