Development Executive

Job description

A great opportunity has arisen for a temporary Development Executive for a health related charity in order to manage the content and production of bi-annual donor newsletters and actively soliciting donations and multi-year pledges commitments through written communication. This role will also oversee acquisition mailings, to increase income and grow the program, as well as ensure exceptional stewardship is delivered. This will be a temporary role for approximately 2 months.

Key Responsibilities will include:
Successfully manage a portfolio of relationships with current and prospective donors with a focus on those giving 1,000 to 5,000
Manage donor records using One-CRM and ensure all information is correct and up to date including attachments and notes
Actively solicit donations of 1000+ through written interactions as well as providing donors with regular high quality bespoke stewardship communication
Manage content and production of newsletter, and work with relevant teams at the charity on data selections, research updates, design, and sign-offs
Maintain and develop an annual communications programme to sustain income
Support the Philanthropy team with financial administration and reporting tasks
Build and maintain effective relationships across the organisation
Be willing to work outside of office hours from time to time
Support in fundraising, stewardship and cultivation events managed in the Philanthropy and Partnerships team

In order to apply you should have the following skills and experience:
Ability to use MS Office applications
Familiar with CRM databases
Managing workload effectively
Working in a busy office
High value fundraising experience
Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
Identifies appropriate people to communicate with and tailors the message to their needs
Listens attentively and is engaging in both one to one, and group scenarios
Ability to comfortably interact with people at all levels
