Development Manager (Trusts & Grants)

Job description

Harris Hill are thrilled to be partnering up exclusively with an animal welfare charity in their search for a Development Manager (Trusts & Grants). This an exciting time to be joining the charity as there are ambitious plans in development to further grow income as they start their new 5 year strategy cycle and prepare to drive their fundraising efforts to the next level. 

The Development manager will play a key role in the Income and Engagement team; leading on developing and delivering the strategy in this area in support of key capital and revenue priorities. With a passion and creativity for writing successful applications, you will be responsible for: research to ensure a regular and reliable pipeline of new prospects; developing grant proposals; leveraging existing relationships and ensuring excellent stewardship of donors.

To be considered for this role you will need:

  • A demonstrable track record of identifying, negotiating and securing significant new partnerships from large scale trusts and foundations based in the UK and globally.

  • Substantial experience developing compelling audience focused cases for support to drive long term value from grant making trusts, foundations and Lottery sources.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to produce well designed and high quality proposals.

Contract: Permanent, Full Time (35 Hours)

Salary: Circa £45,000
