Digital Content Manager

Job description

A fantastic charity is looking for a Digital Content Manager to join their friendly, collaborative Communications team.

As Digital Content Manager you will be a digital content specialist with strong project management skills as you will play a lead role in the development of the Foundation's website, digital platforms, and content.

This is a vital role, working to build audience engagement with digital platforms and communications, and to lead on the development of the website. The successful candidate will help tell the story of the Foundation's work to advance social well-being in a way that resonates with researchers, policy specialists and practitioners.

The website is the primary digital platform for showcasing the research and other projects that they fund, and the goal is to identify and engage their target audiences with the research they fund, which aims to address some of the most pressing challenges facing the UK. Challenges such as how to mitigate the most harmful social impacts of the pandemic, how to give all children the best start in life, and how to improve work and family life for people, particularly the most disadvantaged.

You will be responsible for the overall management of the Foundation's website, working with their digital agency to capture requirements, scope, and deliver development of the site. In addition to commissioning and producing content yourself, you will support colleagues to generate high quality and engaging content to help deliver strategic objectives.

The successful applicant will have experience working on complex website projects and be skilled at producing content that drives engagement with a range of different audiences. You do not need to have technical website development skills, but you must demonstrate a good understanding of the web development process, including user-centred design, user experience, and testing. You will be familiar with content management systems, have strong project management skills and a track record of working with external agencies and building effective relationships with colleagues across an organisation.  You will also have experience of implementing the principles of search engine optimisation (SEO) and be confident using Google Analytics to monitor and report on user engagement.

If this sounds like you and you're keen to hear more, please do get in touch!
