Job description

Harris Hill is excited to be working with an environmental charity in their search for a Digital Editor.

This is a temporary role for six months to help support a high level of organisational activity to drive forward our engagement and campaigning activity. The digital editor will work closely with colleagues in the brand and engagement team and content team to make sure there is a constant stream of on-brand engaging content for the website and that we are leading the conversation on social. They will also help ensure these external communications are on brand and in suitable tone of voice for our target audiences.

Key responsibilities:
To create and edit a high quality supply of new and refreshed content for the website
To create posts for our Twitter, Facebook and Instagram channels and monitor and respond on those channels

Essential experience:
Demonstrable copywriting, editing and proof-reading skills
Experience of creating content within brand and style guidelines
Confident in using WordPress
Understanding of web accessibility standards
Experience managing social media channels for organisations, including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram,
Experiences monitoring and responding to supporter/customer comments

Desirable:
Experience of developing house or brand style guidelines
Basic image editing skills
Understanding of digital marketing, including keyword research and SEO
Experience of providing insights and analysis on social media activity

Whilst this role s fully remote, if/when the office reopens, could gradually transition back.
