Digital Marketing Manager

Job description

A great opportunity has arisen for a temporary Digital Marketing Manager for a youth related charity in order to work and engage audiences through implementing and managing our digital presence across social media, content development and email marketing. You will own the development of an integrated digital strategy, looking at innovative ways to deeply engage our audiences; 18-25 year olds, education sector, business and government (where appropriate). This will be a temporary contract for approximately 6 weeks.

Key Responsibilities will include:

Digital marketing campaigns and projects
Review and implement the digital marketing plans for all social media content, events and campaigns
Working collaboratively with the Communications and Engagement team and other relevant teams to develop innovative ideas and campaigns for engaging new and existing audiences (youth, business, education and government)
Work closely with other Managers to strategically drive online web traffic whilst developing online brand reputation
Work closely with the Marketing and Communications Manager to improve and optimise search engine performance and campaign digital strategy
Use analytics tools such as Salesforce and Google Analytics to evaluate and report on campaigns, digital channels and website performance
Manage multi-email campaigns working with colleagues in SEM (google adwords) and email marketing
Constantly explore, report on and recommend digital marketing innovation, applications and technologies to engage with various audiences with internal colleagues
Social media, writing and content creation
a. Devise and deliver our social media strategy, working closely with colleagues in marketing and communications teams
b. Build a targeted social media engagement approach, working closely with the communications team and the Strategic Partnerships Manager, to identify and engage social media influencers and bloggers
c. Transform the charity s footprint in social media, driving expansion in follower numbers, reach and engagement
d. Maintain a detailed and methodical content plan, to coordinate content
Support the Marketing and Communications team with developing and enforcing branding guidelines and policies across the charity network
Write and publish blogs and social media posts and edit staff and volunteer blogs in line with our branding guidelines
Manage the creation of digital content such as infographics, videos, banners and MPUs in line with branding guidelines

Lead on digital design, contributing ideas, recommending and designing a variety of text, graphic imagery, banners and relevant multimedia content for internal and external use
Repurpose and edit content generated in-house or elsewhere to enhance the charity brand
Manage and deliver design solutions that have a high visual impact within the charity s target audience groups
Take the lead on delivering digital training workshops for internal colleagues to support the department s work in a participatory and engaging way
Provide regular reports and updates for the Head of Marketing and Communications and other internal stakeholders (Chief Executive, Deputy Chief Executive, Board of Trustees and partners)

In order to apply you should have the following skills and experience:

Significant professional experience in development and hands-on implementation of digital marketing and design
Strong interpersonal, influencing, and relationship-building skills with an ability to engage and inspire a wide range of audiences
Experience of developing innovative social media campaigns
A track record of success with demonstrable experience of achieving superb results in terms of social media, content engagement, and email marketing
Experience of digital partnership development in the youth and/or an education sector, and ideally both
Experience of designing and creating graphics imagery and video content using Photoshop and InDesign
A good track record of writing engaging and creative content to reach targeted audiences
Good knowledge of SEO/PPC, email and social media best practice
Strong organisational, project skills
Excellent team-working skills, a strong collaborator, able to consider issues from a breadth of perspectives and to work effectively across channels, divisions and functions
Real ability to manage upwards and downwards across the organisation
Demonstrable experience of managing a diverse workload and working under pressure
