Digital Project Manager

Harris Hill is delighted to be working with a non profit organisation that provide guidance and a voice for the charity sector.

Whilst they recruit permanently, they seek a suitable candidate to come in and cover the interim period of 3 months.

The client isn't quite sure whether this would be on a fixed term basis or a daily/ hourly rate, so we are encouraging candidate to approach us with their requirements, so the client can consider on a case by case basis. This can include those with Ltd or Umbrella companies.

Duties:
Manage support relationships with digital partners
Prioritise and manage through website and server maintenance tasks, bugs/issues and support requests
Work with digital agencies to deliver above tasks in agreed timelines
Keep stakeholders updated on progress and escalate any risks to delivery
Troubleshooting bugs/issues across our product suite as they arise
Support the digital development manager and rest of team with complex projects

Assist with production and management of product backlogs
Produce high quality project documentation
Support user research and testing
Provide administrative support as required
Some key points about this role that might be useful:
Our websites and digital products are used by over 1m users each year
We use tools such as Github, Slack and Trello to manage projects and product backlogs (also a little Jira for some of our older products)
We work with a range of external digital agencies and tech for good partners on delivery
The candidate will be be providing support for and exposed to some big, complex and exciting UX and technical projects as part of our transformation work (helping with planning, admin, documentation, scheduling, testing)
A lot of their time will be spent helping maintain and manage small fixes, issues and enhancements across older websites (while the team focus on transformation). They may also be helping our perm PM with transition/close down work including admin, finance and communication tasks
Our newer products are on Wagtail (Django/Python), and bespoke Javascript and Ruby products. Our older sites are on Joomla (PHP), Wordpress (PHP) and Plone (Python).
We need someone who can hit the ground running and who is used to managing digital delivery, but also happy with supporting and admin work
They'll be working in a 'teamlet' within the digital, data and technology team (14 people), consisting of our digital development manager, into whom they will report, and a perm project manager. The other teamlets are digital content, CRM/data, and IT.
We're pretty flexible about working patterns and remote working this will continue even after pandemic restrictions lift.
