Digital Project Manager

Job description

A great opportunity has arisen for a temporary Digital Project Manager for a children related charity based in London in order to support the Head of Digital in delivering our digital priorities and taking responsibility for planning and delivering a range of digital projects and development work.

Key Responsibilities will include:
To project manage the digital aspects of a number of high priority campaigns
To support our fundraising teams with knowledge of technology and user experience to maximise income through appeals.
To support and develop our online shop, prioritising development requirements and working with stakeholders to deliver ongoing improvements
To maximise the impact of donations processing and campaigns platform, (Engaging Networks) including testing and tracking work, donation journey testing, implementation of a supporter hub and supporting colleagues with proactive solutions to product-related queries.
To develop the charity approach to digitising services for young people, for example using user research, co-creation methods, hackathons etc.
To champion best practice in project management across the organisation and by following The charity s approach to project management
To manage and maintain the relationship with the charity lead website agency, managing the monthly retainer, overseeing our infrastructure and server/hosting arrangement, acting as point of contact for contract/briefing/issues resolution/ongoing improvements.
To manage and deliver project work that aligns with the digital strategy and act as the day-to-day contact for all stakeholders involved in projects, proactively keeping them regularly updated on project progress
To support, provide expert advice and consult with colleagues around the organisation to help plan and deliver, on time and on budget, the array of development they need
To provide estimations of project costs, issues, risks, strategy, resourcing, milestones, financial reconciliation reporting and budgeting for each project
To represent digital thinking and requirements on a range of cross-organisation projects and working groups
To occasionally line manage temporary support in the team for example contracted roles, interns, volunteers

In order to apply you should have the following skills and experience:


Must be familiar with and adept at using a range of web services, applications, software and sites.
Experienced at using content management systems to publish to websites; experience of Drupal preferred but not essential.
Experienced and familiar with optimising content and sites for SEO.
Experience of, and successful application of, digital marketing and communications including viral emails, online advertising, e-newsletters, microsites, mobile etc.
Engaging Networks
CMS experience (Drupal an advantage)
Ecommerce platforms (Magento an advantage)
Chatbot software including AI
Strong time management skills
Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written, are fundamental as is excellent attention to detail.
Demonstrable experience of hands-on project management, working on projects for a wide range of end audiences.
Will have successfully delivered a significant digital marketing product, ie website, interactive service, application etc., from beginning to end.
Experience of managing significant budgets on both small and large scale projects.
Experience of managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, in particular experience of commissioning and managing agencies and other freelancers, and reconciling conflicting demands.
Experience of devising and running workshops and of delivering presentations.
