Digital Testing & Optimisation Specialist

Job description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Digital Testing & Optimisation Specialist to join an innovative international development charity.

As Digital Testing & Optimisation Specialist you will work closely with strategic, analytics, developer and content colleagues to create and manage a programme of testing and optimisation across digital channels that will enhance user experience, increase engagement and conversion rates, and drive continuous improvement of supporter journeys.

In this role, you will be responsible for using insights from data, supporter feedback and heuristic analysis to identify key points for optimisation in the digital marketing funnel and inform testing tactics. You will use a range of tools and approaches to gather insights, including: A/B tests, user testing, heatmaps, feedback surveys and prototypes.

Communication and collaboration are key elements of this position, and you will work in small project groups leading on CRO strategy, communicating goals, plans and findings in a clear and structured way. You will also collaborate with digital content colleagues on optimising content and work closely with developer colleagues to plan and schedule tests to improve website UX.

In order to be successful, you must be experienced in measuring and optimising digital marketing journeys using a variety of testing approaches, tactics and tools, excellent knowledge of user experience, UX good practice and experience of conducting user testing. Experience of using CRO processes and techniques to optimize marketing funnels and a background in creating hypotheses and setting up a range of tests to validate them is also vital.

A working understanding of web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS) and experience in testing and optimisation tools such as Hotjar, Optimizely, VWO, CrazyEgg etc are also crucial.
