Director of Fundraising

Job description

I am delighted to be working with Chance for Childhood in their search for a new Director of Fundraising.

Chance for Childhood is an award-winning charity working in Africa to support the most vulnerable children, such as street children, disabled children, children affected by conflict and kids behind bars. Their vision is of a world where no child is forgotten!

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Manager to build and lead their Fundraising team to deliver a diverse portfolio of fundraising activities and shape the future fundraising strategy in a fast-paced, forward-thinking organisation.

You will be comfortable managing a mixed portfolio of existing income streams, allocating resources where necessary while you focus on cultivating key relationships with new and existing high net worth individuals and corporate partners. You will ensure the highest standards of donor care and look for opportunities to retain and grow our committed givers. As well as ensuring your team cultivate excellent relationships with supporters, you will also focus on long term investments such as creating a digital fundraising strategy which will include building on the success of online 'match giving' campaigns such as the Big Give.

Chance for Childhood head office is in Farnborough (Hampshire). However, you do not need to be based locally to be considered for this position. You can be based at a central London hub or even work from if that is your preference.

If you have a passion for international development, a minimum of five years' charity sector experience and a track record of major gifts fundraising or a minimum of two years working for a charity and experience in another business which involved income generation, I would like to hear from you.
