"I couldn't tell you the moment everything changed for me, but one day I woke up and I finally thought; 'I can deal with this'. That's what Compton does." Compton Care Patient

As leaders in palliative care, we're here to empower people to take charge of life, on their own terms. We're dedicated to providing accessible, innovative and influential care, and believe that people's experience with us should be nothing short of extraordinary.

From the moment someone starts receiving support, they'll work with a Compton Care partner, and together we build a care package that works for them as an individual.

We provide care and support that's tailored to our patients and their families, and we've been doing so for more than 35 years.
Compton Care is going through a period of transformative change in order to ensure that we make everyday extraordinary for our patients, their families and their friends.

After a period of strategic planning, we are now in the implementation phase. Like any strategic plan, it will need to be flexible to reflect the changing world around us, but it represents a clear direction for our organisation, and one which the senior leadership and board are committed to delivering.
The Director of Nursing and Supportive Care will not only be co-leading the planning and delivery of our clinical services with the Medical Director, but will be a key member of our strong, highly collaborative senior leadership team, with collective responsibility for all areas of Compton Care's work.

The successful candidate will have:

  • An active relevant care-related qualification
  • Experience of working in a senior management role with significant responsibility and autonomy for complex decision-making, leadership and strategic business planning within a care environment (or a transferable situation).
  • Strong inspirational leadership and management experience in a multi-professional setting, with a demonstrable track record of creating and leading a large, high-performance team
