Director of Programmes
Job description
Director of Programmes
£40,000
Full-time (5 days) per week
2 year fixed-term contract
A sexual health charity dedicated to people experiencing better sexual health. We do this because there's a big gap in the sexual health outcomes of Black, Asian and Racially Minoritised communities compared to the general population. Everything we do works to reverse this trend.
Our evidence-based interventions are designed to enable those with the greatest risk of poor sexual health outcomes to have fulfilling sexual lives, understand how to access the right local service and ultimately to support better physical, mental and sexual health outcomes.
Role
The Director of Programmes will support the Chief Executive in the strategic management of NAZ by providing leadership to the teams responsible for sexual health prevention and support programmes for people living with HIV. They will ensure effective delivery of programmes using robust impact and evaluation measures, which in turn will support the NAZ ambition to influence public policy and practice through providing examples of evidence-based interventions.
There are a number of programmes at NAZ which cut across sexual health prevention, psychotherapy, LGBTIQ+ sexual health well-being, faith and support services for people living with HIV, peer mentoring, point of care testing for HIV & STIs, group and peer support activities.
The role is normally based at the NAZ office 30 Blacks Road, W6 9DT and across other London locations; though also includes working from home at present due to Covid-19.
Due to our delivery of sexual health services to predominantly Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic service users, this role is only open to people who are BAME (or multiple heritage including this). (Exempt under the Equality Act 2010, pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1)
We welcome applications from people who are living with HIV.
