Donor Relations Manager

Job description

A charity based in South West London are looking for a Donor Relations Manager. The charity is looking for a dynamic candidate to join their team and to manage the next exciting phase. The successful candidate would be reporting to the Grants and Contracting Manager. This role will be will support the team with their ambitious fundraising goals.
Key responsibilities
Maintain and build relationships with existing investors/donors and respond to their requests regularly and keep updating them about the work of the foundation.
Undertake independent research in finding alternative resources for long-term sustainability of the charity
Assist in writing concept notes, project ideas and project proposal and ensure timely submissions
Regularly monitor donor websites and identify investor opportunities matching the work of charity
Ensure timely and accurate processing, recording and acknowledgement of donations including gift aid and online donations
Conduct due diligence on donors to ensure compliance with regulations around money laundering, anti-terrorism and the ethical check
Ensure that all thank you letters are sent out on a timely manner in line with the charity fundraising policies.
Analyse donor data to identify trends in giving
Ensure supporter preferences are accurately recorded, including Gift Aid declarations, mailing preferences and suppressions
Support the wider team in fundraising events
To carry out other adhoc administrative duties within the team

Person specification
Demonstrated experience of working with customer relationship management system or donor management services such as Blackbaud's Raisers Edge NXT or similar
Demonstrated experience of consolidating information in a clear, accurate and comprehensive way
Demonstrated experience of presenting information in a report and communicating outcomes
Proven time management skills, including evidence of excellent planning, organisational skills and multi-tasking
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, both prescribed and self-imposed, while maintaining a high level of accuracy
Proven ability to work as part of an expanding team and developing effective working relationships with all levels of staff
Self-motivated, confident with the ability to persevere in order to achieve objectives
Ability to work constructively and effectively within a team
Ability to work unsupervised and using own initiative
Thorough understanding of GDPR and confidentiality of handling donor data
Good knowledge of fundraising regulations.
