Harris Hill is proud to be working alongside an amazing children’s charity who are looking for a Due Diligence Executive in the fundraising team. Fundraising underpins their commitment to vulnerable children across the country, they have extremely generous supporters who account for most of the charity’s annual income.

We are looking for a reliable and efficient team player, with experience of providing good customer service by balancing responsiveness with attention to detail. As the successful candidate you will be able to offer constructive support to a wide range of colleagues, and you will be required to communicate information succinctly to non-specialists.

This is an opportunity to play a vital role in managing risks to the charity’s reputation and income, so that they can continue reaching the children that rely on them.

Securing large gifts for their work requires a strong understanding of current and potential donors, and the Fundraising Due Diligence function ensures that the charity’s public-facing and philanthropic partnerships align with the organisations values.
Led by the Due Diligence Manager, the team works closely with their colleagues that manage the relationships with philanthropists, trusts and foundations, corporate partners, celebrities and other public representatives.
The Fundraising Due Diligence Executive will be expected to gather and analyse information from a number of external sources, presenting findings clearly and accurately.

 

Skills and Abilities
- Strong organisation skills, with the proven ability to plan, implement and monitor own tasks to meet agreed objectives.
- Proven analytical skills, proficient in collecting and interpreting information from various sources, before presenting findings clearly and accurately.
- Well-developed written communication skills, particularly the ability to convey information succinctly to a broad range of audiences, including non-specialists.

 

Knowledge and Experience
- Experience of conducting research and delivering written reports to a deadline.
- Experience of working reactively and flexibly to the deadlines and pressures of others,
providing good customer service by balancing responsiveness with attention to detail.
- Experience in using databases and Microsoft Office, including word processing, spreadsheets, email and the internet to deliver tasks and projects, and to maintain administrative and information systems.
- An understanding of how risk management and compliance apply to fundraising as a discipline.
