Events Assistant

Job description

A wonderful South London charity is looking for an Events Assistant to support the national Events team. You will be responsible for recruiting and supporting participants for challenge events to increase income for the charity.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the marketing of the charity's running and challenge events, recruiting teams of participants to represent the charity and raise sponsorship
- Support event participants through their training and sponsorship, ensuring they feel prepared for the event
- Coordinate running teams on race day, ensuring runners have a good experience of the event
-Batching and thanking all Events income to Raiser's Edge, Producing thank you letters
-To be the first point of call for all event fundraisers. From answering enquiries on how to become involved to sending out packs and taking registrations
-Undertake day to day support for event participants, providing them with advice and materials with an aim to increase average fundraising levels


Skills and Experience required:
-Experience in a fundraising or Events environment.
-Proven ability to provide administrative support to an individual or team.
A range of research skills including the internet.
Ability to work to deadlines with an excellent eye for detail
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Strong IT skills including Microsoft office products and experience of The Raiser's Edge database
