Events Executive
Job description
A great opportunity has arisen for a temporary Events Executive for an independent school based in London in order to cover period of 6-8 weeks. 
 
Key Responsibilities will include: 
 
Deliver a range of scheduled events and activities for the School. 
Attend and host at key events and take a share of responsibility for their smooth and successful running 
Work with internal and external colleagues to book venues, organise catering and provide sound event plans 
Manage a busy inbox of external enquiries relating to events, responding promptly, politely and warmly to everyone who gets in touch 
Create and carry out effective event marketing plans, showcasing each event on the website and through communications materials 
Design, produce and distribute event invitations by email and post 
Produce event materials e.g. name badges, place and menu cards 
Work with senior volunteers and high-level donors to plan fundraising events and provide administrative assistance where necessary 
Ensure attendee and dietary requirements data is recorded accurately on The Raiser s Edge. 
Support the Director of Development in maximising fundraising revenue and goodwill towards the School 
 
 
In order to apply you should have the following skills and experience: 
 
Experience planning and delivering a range of events 
Experience of using The Raiser s Edge (or other CRM/fundraising databases) 
Excellent written and oral communication skills 
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail 
Strong numeracy and IT skills 
Patient and positive under pressure, remaining flexible in a dynamic working environment with competing priorities 
Instinctive customer service approach professional, welcoming and friendly, with a natural desire to go the extra mile to help and exceed expectations 
First-rate interpersonal skills with an ability to build relationships with people at all levels, both internally and externally, to inspire trust and to handle complaints 
Self-motivation, persistence and good-humour 
Proven ability to work as both a team member and on own initiative with limited supervision
