Harris Hill is working with a Children;s charity to help find cover whilst they recruit permanently.

The role is an immediate start, working 22.5 hours per week.

The role of our Events Assistant is vital to support the fundraising efforts. Working closely with the Senior Events Fundraising Manager, the Events Assistant will support the delivery of events programme and will ensure fundraisers are supported in their journeys.

Duties:
Support on the delivery of specific events and projects, in agreement with the Senior Events Fundraising Manager including budget monitoring, planning and booking suppliers; liaising with staff / volunteers/ participants; promoting the events; and recruiting participants, through to post-event reporting and gratefulness;
Develop a week-by-week work plan for each event outlining all roles/ tasks that need completing and ensure all tasks are completed, delegating roles and tasks to volunteers, as appropriate;
Review the budget of individual events and, with support from the Senior Events Fundraising Manager, ensure events are run within budgeted expenditure, whilst achieving budgeted income; negotiate with suppliers for the most cost-effective prices where appropriate;
Coordinate and motivate volunteers, to provide support in the office and to recruit appropriate volunteers for events.

Experience:
At least one year working in an office environment Essential
Experience of working in events or fundraising in a paid or voluntary role Desirable
Proven customer service skills Desirable
Experience of producing minutes, action lists and meeting summaries Desirable
