Events Manager

Job description

Harris Hill are delighted to be working with health charity based in East Sussex in their search for an Events Manager in order to manage and support the Events and Community team to maximise the financial support that the charity receives from event participants through a number of bespoke and external challenge events.
This role contributes to the achievement of financial targets for the fundraising department through the effective implementation of the Events and Community portfolios, which are a key part of the Fundraising Strategy.

 

  • You will manage fantastic team : an Events Assistant and Community Champions, including setting objectives, performance reviews and regular 1-1 meetings
  • You will plan a portfolio of activities and campaigns to meet the annual events and community income target
  • You will Identify suitable third-party fundraising events and opportunities, recruit participants and offer on-day support, to maximise our income
  • You will develop plans for, and project manage, or delegate, individual fundraising events: set and manage budgets; research venues; secure sponsors; identify entertainment companies; manage relationships with attendees to ensure the event's success


The ideal candidate for the role will have:


● Track record in planning events and managing on-day logistics.
● Exceptional organisational skills, with experience of managing multiple tasks and prioritising effectively.
● Experience of managing event budgets, exceeding targets, and strong marketing skills.
● Experience in achieving fundraising targets, ideally in community fundraising.
● A good communicator with the ability to build relationships with a variety of people.
● Excellent interpersonal and team working skills, with an ability to work independently and seize opportunities.
● High level of analytical and written skill - fluent in written and spoken English with strong presentation and persuasion skills.

Location - North Chailey, East Sussex
Contract - Permanent

Salary: £ 31,900- £38,000 per annum
