Events Manager

Harris Hill are delighted to be working with a not for profit membership organisation in their search for an Events Manager in order to oversee and manage conferences and events primarily: -
o Conferences and Symposia (Both face to face & virtually)
o Ceremonies and Dinners
o PCO serviced events (Professional Conference Organisation)

This will be a 9 months maternity cover.
You will ensure a high level of customer service at all conferences and events
You will work with College committees to create new conferences and virtual events, covering all specialties
You will be also manage ambitious two Events Coordinators, volunteers, and contractors to deliver the events.

You will ideally have:
- You will have strong experience of events management (ideally in an academic or professional setting), as well as experience of the promoting and marketing of events such as conferences and webinars to a professional audience.
- You will also have planning skills with regard to events, supporting services and documentation. A vital requirement is for the role will be good IT skills with a track record of using IT to manage the delivery and efficiency of events, especially with MS Office suite and virtual meeting software (Zoom and Teams).
- Knowledge and experience of commercial and budget management and planning for events is required. There is responsibility for two direct reports and team management is an essential part of the role.
- You will be resilient and calm under pressure with a positive attitude and promote a positive approach within the organisation.
- You will also be committed to a customer focused culture and be flexible (there may be a requirement for evening and weekend work).



Location: London, hybrid working
Salary: £46,657
