Events Officer

I'm thrilled to be working with a health charity, as they look for an Events Officer to join the team on a permanent basis in order to manage an agreed portfolio of fundraising events, taking place throughout the year, and to provide high levels of supporter care, ensuring income and expenditure targets are met for each event.


You will Lead on the delivery of a number of events from the charity's agreed portfolio; both owned and third party events. Responsibilities to include: researching an event's feasibility, planning, marketing, recruiting participants, and evaluation. Providing high levels of supporter care and ensuring income and expenditure targets are met or exceeded for each event.
You will also assist with developing business cases for new events, demonstrating a case for implementing an event backed up by thorough supporter led insight and research and financial and non-financial KPIs.
You will build fantastic long term relationships with supporters by creating a first class supporter experience, having regular contact through email, social media and telephone conversations.

The ideal candidate will have :

- ability to be creative and innovative when planning new fundraising events
- ability to build strong and constructive working relationships with a diverse range of colleagues, supporters and stakeholders
- commitment to attention to detail
- understanding of supporter care principles
-Demonstrates high levels of time management and organisational skills in order to manage multiple projects and deadlines
-Familiarity with Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)
-Familiarity with social media channels (Facebook, twitter, Instagram)
-Understanding of charity supporter motivations
-Experience of working within a fundraising, marketing or customer service environment
-Experience in event organisation
-Customer relationship management experience including database management


Salary: Circa £24,000 - £27,000per annum

Full-time, permanent (35 hours a week)
