An international charity in London, seek an Challenge Events Officer from the 3rd Dec for 3 weeks with possible extension.


Responsibilities
Manage the London Marathon, including marketing to recruit own place runners and stewardship
Support on Clipper Round the World Yacht Race partnership with responsibility for ensuring outstanding stewardship and supporter engagement to drive income
Deliver excellent stewardship plans, to minimise drop outs and numbers of people not achieving sponsorship targets and maximise amounts raised
Produce supporter emails and update resources; ensuring the content is engaging, supporter centric and digital activities are integrated with maximum effect
Assist with the development and improvement of systems and processes relating to events fundraising
Ensure all fundraising is carried out with adherence to charity law and all related regulations plus policies
Maintain accurate records on the database and ensure supporter data is managed effectively and within the law
Contribute to the planning and budgeting of the Challenge Events programme
Support the team emergency strategy, including out of hours emergency cover
Provide support on event days and volunteer at other PFT events where appropriate, involving working outside of regular hours
Undertake any other duties or activities which are appropriate to the post as required by the Challenge Events Manager or Head of Public Fundraising
This role may involve the post holder to work beyond the standard working hours as and when required
This includes being on call over some bank holidays and weekends.
