Finance Director

Harris Hill are recruiting for a Director of Finance for this international development charity based in London

The position will lead on all aspects of financial management. With an annual budget of over 7 million and operations in over 10 countries, this is a role that requires a range of skills and experience, as well as the leadership and drive to manage and problem solve with a diverse team.

You will oversee a Finance Team of 7 staff, providing the full range of financial support to an impactful and developing organisation, taking managerial responsibility for accounting, financial management, donor reporting, payroll and payment services.

As the leader of the Finance Team, you will continue the development of the highly capable and motivated team responsible for the maintenance of accurate financial records and reporting, maintaining an effective system of financial control and ensuring the team supports the wider organisation on all day-to-day financial management issues.

This role is responsible for continued strategic development of our financial systems, continuous improvement of the financial budgeting processes and delivery of SORP complaint unqualified audited accounts.

The Director of Finance will ensure that the Charity complies with all necessary obligations in respect of payroll, VAT, corporation tax, and the financial requirements of both Companies House and the Charity Commission.

This is a key role in the development and growth of the organisation. As such, the Director of Finance will continue to strengthen the financial capacity of our budget holders and their partners and seek to build financial capacity within the organisation.
