Finance Officer

Job description

Harris Hill is working with a fantastic Humanitarian Charity to find a Finance Officer to join their team. The role is a 3 month contract. Duties will include:

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain the cashbook and bank balances
  • Prepare monthly closings including all bank reconciliations checking for accuracy, for UK financial Controller's review
  • Provide financial analysis reports from country operations to US and UK Finance teams
  • Complete electronic domestic and international transactions, including ACH and wire transactions in the London office as needed
  • Ensure all financial records and files are compliant for, but not limited to, audit, tax, legal, US federal contracting, all donors and UK statutory and regulatory requirements

Key skills

  • You will have experience of working in a multi-currency, and with several bank accounts
  • You will have an accountancy qualification (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA) or actively studying towards it
  • Strong IT Skills, preferable experience with NetSuite, Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and especially Excel
  • Must have attention to detail and strong reconciliation skills
  • Strong quantitative and risk analysis skills
