Fundraising & Events Coordinator

Job description

A great opportunity has arisen for a Fundraising & Events Coordinator for a health related charity in order to cover busy period of 1 month.


Key Responsibilities will include:

Support the income generating teams (events and community, corporate, major gifts, communications and marketing and trusts and foundations) with identified activities
Maintain efficient information systems
Play an active part in the charity s cultivation events
Support newsletter and other communications by extracting data and mailing
Produce database reports
Add information to the charity s website using the content management system
Participate in cross-functional projects, providing defined support for each initiative
Carry out research in to companies, trusts, individuals and organisations
Work with managers on specific research requirements for each project and audience
Keep records of stock levels of fundraising materials and place orders
Enter supporter data to the database and update records
Keep records of collecting tins on the database
Produce and send materials to supporters
Compose and send thank you letters and other correspondence
Issue receipts to donors and visitors to the fundraising office
Communicate well with supporters and colleagues
Develop an understanding of the charity's work
Build positive working relationships with all who wish to work with the charity
Lead in agreed areas of fundraising to support appeals and activities
Plan, lead, execute, report and analyse the success of initiatives that you have responsibility for in liaison with your line manager
Take a lead role on the ongoing marketing and recruitment of standing orders, payroll giving and lottery players with the support of colleagues

Excellent organisational skills with a logical mind
Excellent communication and social skills
Numerate and literate to a high standard
Good capability with databases and Microsoft Office suite
Ability to manage multiple workstreams and a knowledge of how to prioritise
Meticulous attention to detail
Excellent telephone manner
A team player
