Fundraising and Events Officer

Harris Hill are delighted to be working with a youth development charity in their search for a Fundraising and Events Officer. Reporting to the Head of Fundraising & Development, you will play an integral role in our exciting plans to diversify and increase our income over the next 3 years.


The role entails:

Develop and implement the charity new and exciting School Fundraising Challenge across the UK.
You will be responsible for driving new business as well as engaging across our current partners with several corporate facing products.
Develop key strategic relationships with partners to support our new Challenge. You will lead or support on both securing and account managing partners.
Support and develop relationships to increase participation for the Challenge across both corporate and community audiences.
To support the Head of Fundraising & Development to build a long-term philanthropy programme.
Support and maintain an efficient and data driven CRM system with strong user buy in, management information and dashboard and stewardship capabilities.
Maintain Fundraising Assets ensuring they have maximum impact.
Operate within the legal and moral standards of fundraising.

Key skills and experience:

Experience of fundraising and income generation within an events or corporate setting.
Experience of using interpersonal, communication and relationship management skills to develop relationships and partnerships.
Experience of managing a budget and achieving agreed income targets over 100K.
Excellent communication skills: tailoring oral and written communications for the intended audience, ability to adopt a variety of styles, ability to listen to, influence and persuade others.
Experience of communicating easily with a wide range of audiences on a face-to-face basis as well as by post, telephone and by any other appropriate methods.
Excellent project management skills (accuracy, attention to detail, scheduling, problem solving and monitoring).
Excellent organisational and time-management skills, able to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
Capable of working effectively without direct supervision.
Competent IT skills (all Microsoft Office packages).
Be a team player and enthusiastic about working flexibly as part of a small and dynamic team.
