Fundraising Assistant

Job description

A children's charity in London, seek a Fundraising Assistant from January for 3-5 months on a full time basis.

Working in a small fundraising department, you will support a team of 3 with day to day running of fundraising activity, raise awareness of the charity through its supporters and fundraisers via stewardship.

Key Responsibilities
To provide excellent donor care for fundraisers and supporters, including email, telephone, mail and face to face stewardship
Co-ordinate administrative processes for the Fundraising team including welcome mailings, fundraising materials mailings, answering fundraising queries and thanking donors as per agreed timelines
Work with the fundraising database Donor Strategy to ensure all supporters information is correct, up to date and in line with GDPR regulations
Work with the Fundraising team to ensure smooth systems and processes are in place and to update these where necessary to ensure continued efficiency
Motivate, recognise and reward supporters to encourage their long term support
Undertake project work to identify impact measurements and evaluate the charity's supporter base, to underpin the Fundraising team's future strategic delivery
Attend and support on the smooth running and delivery of charity events, such as, but not limited to, London Landmarks Half Marathon and Virgin Money London Marathon

Person Specification
Educated to a good level including GCSEs in Maths and English
Experience of administrative processes
Experience of using databases
Experience of building positive relationships and/or customer service
Confident and sensitive phone manner essential
Enthusiastic, committed and adaptable
Able to work effectively as part of a team
