Fundraising Manager (Mat Cover)

You will be a part of a Fundraising team that are driven to get out there and bring in the funds needed to protect the venerable and prevent abuse. Join as a Fundraising Manager to cover maternity and get more people involved in the work that means everything for those who benefits from the charities services.

We are currently looking for an experience fundraiser to take over a high performing retention fundraising team within Supporter Development on a 12-month contract to cover maternity. You will be responsible for the management of several supporter development and engagement programmes including cash, upgrade and reengagement. In so doing you will be playing a key role in maximising income and minimising attrition and raising vital funds for the vulnerable individuals they protect.

You will use your track record of managing, planning and executing large scale retention programmes in the charity sector. Strong data insights and a good background of databases and audience segmentation is a must, as is experience of controlling a complex budget. Great communication skills will help, with an ability to lead and motivate a team of three, passing on your sector knowledge and experience along the way.

Experience & Skills required

1. Proven track record to demonstrate in management, planning and execution
of large scale third sector retention programmes

2. Strong data insight and a background knowledge of databases and audience
segmentation

3. Excellent all-round communication skills

4. Highly developed ability to verbally convey information, including fundraising pitches

5. A record of establishing, developing and maintaining relationships

6. Ability to identify opportunities

7. Leadership, management and team building skills

8. ability to control and manage budgets

9. Experience of managing a variety of agencies, building good working relationships

10. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage and plan own work and the
work of others to deliver objectives
