Harris Hill are delighted to be working with a leading children charity in their search for an experienced Special Events Manager in order to cover a maternity leave for 12 months.
Salary: 38, 869- £45,139 included LW
Location: London, hybrid work with 1 day in the office

Main Responsibilities
- Create and deliver strategies to maximise income from committee-led special event fundraising events.
- Support the Senior Fundraising Manager in the creation and monitoring of the annual business plan and budget for special event fundraising activity to enable the Society to plan its activity and services
- Work with the Senior Fundraising Manager in influencing colleagues across the organisation to establish Special Events as the centre of excellence and expertise for events fundraising.
Support departments and teams using events in their fundraising by sharing best practice, knowledge and contacts
- Manage key relationships with senior volunteers and committees in relation to events
- Recruit, train, develop and manage staff including regular 1:1 meetings, team meetings and regular performance reviews.
Coach and mentor staff to achieve high performance, growth and personal development
- To undertake specific projects as necessary and requested to support Fundraising as a whole

You will have proven experience, knowledge and skills in leading income generating events, working directly with supporters, sponsors, suppliers and senior stakeholders within an organisation and outside it across external audiences. You'll be an experience manage of staff and co-ordinator of supporter and/or Committee groups. You'll be a proven professional in engaging and stewarding key supporters and delivering creative and inspiring event experiences for guests. You'll thrive in a demanding and high performing environment whilst collaborating with colleagues across the organisation.
