Harris Hill is pleased to be partnering in with the largest equine charity in the south west as they embark on their search to find a talented Fundraising Manager. In this newly created role you will be required to diversify and grow their supporter groups and develop your own specialisms within the fundraising mix.

This is very exciting time to join the organisation, the charity is about to launch their new 5 year fundraising strategy, they also have a new chief exec who has big aspirations for the future.

Salary 30,660- 33,000


Key Responsibilities:

Grow and diversify voluntary income streams, developing supporter groups and supporter journeys that enable supporters to clearly see the positive impact of their giving.

Research, develop and implement successful fundraising initiatives, campaigns and bids, both innovative and traditional, which reflect the interests of our diverse supporter groups.

Build relationships with major donors, companies and partners making presentations, updating on progress and milestones.

Devise innovative ways to gain and retain donors and regular supporters.

Develop and use a range of processes, including producing business cases and return on investment scenarios, to demonstrate the intended and actual impact of your fundraising initiatives.

Research fundraising opportunities and write tailored grant applications to charitable trusts, foundations and statutory bodies.

Identify and submit applications for awards that will raise the profile of the Sanctuary and secure funding.

Manage and develop staff at officer level, including those responsible for community fundraising and events, according the Sanctuary's approach to managing and supporting performance.

Continue to develop your own specialisms within the fundraising mix as well as contributing to all aspects of general fundraising.

Essential Criteria to be


At least 4 years proven track record in general fundraising with specialist experience in 2 or more areas e.g. individual giving, trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, major donors, legacy.

Strong management skills, able to develop fundraising staff at the start of their careers at officer level.

Active team member

Excellent communication and presentation skills.
