Fundraising Project Support Manager

Job description

I am currently looking for a Fundraising Project Support Manager for an amazing NHS Trust for a 6-month FTC. In this exciting and varied role, you will be responsible for supporting the Fundraising Unit. You will coordinate and implement projects, provide support in relation to major gifts including administration, communications, events, acknowledgments, stewardship etc.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Patient/Donor Care:
Provide excellent donor support; motivating, supporting and retaining existing supporters.
Provide support to Deputy Head of Charitable Giving and Head of Charitable Giving with major donor care acknowledgements, certificates, presentations, meetings, events, etc.
Deal sensitively and professionally with patients, families or carers that may wish to fundraise, donate or be involved with work of the Hospital.
Reporting to Deputy Head of Charitable Giving

Administration:
To ensure that procedures on the fundraising database system are followed and that all changes or additions are recorded quickly and accurately.
To check and update donor details on the fundraising system and to correctly record personal details and financial information.
To carry out administration/reception duties i.e. photocopying and faxing filing, answering telecom/ telephone etc.
To support the Head of Charitable Giving and the Deputy Head.
Be responsible for building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Generate new ideas on service improvement and actively participate in team/departmental meetings.
Occasionally undertake surveys and gather feedback upon the completion of projects

Project Management and Coordination:
Establish and manage budgets in relation to fundraising projects
Work closely with fundraising team to lead and coordinate on specific projects, such as bi annual Newsletter, and fundraising pack.
Be responsible for arranging meetings, conferences and tours as required.
Ensuring fundraising projects run effectively and efficiently
Arrange fundraising projects across all sites
Be responsible for advertising fundraising projects and ensuring an uptake of donors
Work with fundraising communications team to produce and disseminate charity literature/materials such as fundraising booklets, leaflets and appeal literature.

Communication:
To ensure all queries are dealt with in a pleasant and responsible manner taking the initiative to resolve them or redirecting to a senior member of staff should the need arise.
To thank supporters immediately for their donations.
To communicate with internal and external departments.
To greet and register all visitors in a courteous, pleasant and friendly manner.
To receive telephone calls and respond appropriately in a polite and courteous manner.
To maintain confidentiality of staff, patient information/ records and the business of the charity at all times.
Work in line with governmental guidelines on GDPR, Trust policy on information governance and Trust policies on internal and external charities.
Ensure compassionate communication with bereaved families.


Human Resources:
Supervise volunteers and ensure the delegation of their tasks
Work closely with events coordinator and administrator, providing training as required
Deliver training to volunteers and junior members of staff

Information Resources:
Input data promptly on the fundraising database for donations, changes, communications
Regularly and accurately update fundraising spreadsheets
To produce reports from the fundraising system on a regular basis.
To create new donor records for new donations and ensure that these records are kept in an orderly manner and in line with Data Protection legislation
Using a range of IT application such as Microsoft Word, excel and Donor Strategy computer system
