Harris Hill are delighted to be supporting Consumers International in their search for a Part Time Global Communications and Membership Lead.

The organisation:

Consumers International is the only global membership organisation for consumer groups around the world, bringing together over 200 member organisations in more than 100 countries to empower and champion the rights of consumers everywhere.

They work with their members and partners, across national borders to address critical, systemic global issues that impact and involve consumers. Representing and empowering consumers, they are their voice in international policy-making forums and the global marketplace to shape a world where everyone has access to safe and sustainable products and services. Their work shapes the future for consumers in food, finance, energy, mobility, sustainable consumption and more.

The role:

As Global Communications and Membership Lead you will drive the development of Consumers International’s voice – ensuring the development and delivery of integrated, targeted, insightful and relevant communications to all stakeholders.

You will build recognition of Consumers International and its reputation around their Change Agenda and, through excellent communications, support long-term, trusted engagement with it’s Members and stakeholders.

You will adapt quickly and enjoy building and innovating in an entrepreneurial environment as the organisation implements their new strategy. 

You will also support regular outreach to the organisation’s global network of Members with insight, building a calendar of global connection points through the year.

The ideal candidate will have:

-         Solid communications, brand and media experience 

-         Experience developing and delivering successful communications strategy

-         Previous advocacy communications experience

-         A tack record of managing multiple complex stakeholder relationships successfully

-         Solid experience advising SLT on Communications

-         Ability to produce accurate, inspiring and relevant copy

Location: Home Based with regular travel to London Office

Salary: £70,000 FTE

Contract: Part Time 2.5-3 days a week, Permanent
