Head of Acquisition

Job description

Harris Hill are delighted to be supporting an international development charity in their search for a Head of Acquisition.

As Head of Acquisition, you will provide strategic leadership of the Supporter Acquisition programme, develop the Acquisition strategy, and plan and deliver a number of high budget fundraising campaigns, including integrated campaigns across a range of channels.

The Individual Giving Team is a dynamic department with a wide-ranging product portfolio and a multi-million-pound budget envelope across Acquisition and Retention teams. You will lead the strategic development of the acquisition programme, ensuring full consideration of audiences, products, propositions, and channels to create an engaging strategic plan aligned to the organisational strategy. You will work to build and retain a high performing team, with standards and KPI’s defined and met, feedback sought and priorities resourced.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in strategic management of a direct marketing programme that includes a wide range of channels and activities, including digital, with a strong knowledge of acquisition marketing. You must be a good writer & verbal communicator, with a proven track record in effectively motivating others. The right person will have the interpersonal skills to build strong relationships based on mutual respect and trust, and a strong commitment to anti racist storytelling. With responsibility for a large budget, it’s also vital that you have an excellent capability of budgeting and reporting, and a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities of balancing a multifarious product portfolio.
