I am delighted to be working with a respected international NGO to find a dynamic Head of Finance, initially on a 6-month fixed term contract. This is a pivotal leadership role supporting global financial strategy and operations across multiple regions, with an immediate start, London based hybrid role (4 days per month in the office).
The opportunity:
Reporting into the Finance Director, this role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership of regional and country-level finance teams. You’ll drive performance, strengthen systems, and act as a trusted advisor to both finance and programme leads across the organisation.
Key focus areas:
Strategic financial planning, budgeting and analysis
Leading multi-country finance teams
Driving compliance, audit, and internal controls
Overseeing operational finance (AP, AR, payroll, cashflow)
Building strong relationships with donors, partners and internal stakeholders
Enhancing systems, reporting tools, and financial processes
About you:
Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
Proven track record in financial leadership, ideally in complex, international environments
Strong people manager with cross-cultural experience
Adept at balancing strategic thinking with operational delivery
NGO or donor-funded experience is a strong plus
Must have the right to work in your current location
