Head of Fundraising- Interim 12 months

Job description

I am working with a leading international Christian organisation that seeks to support families worldwide in their search to find a Head of Fundraising on an initial 12 month fixed term contract. Reporting to the CEO and leading a small team, you will be required to oversee and develop the organisations current fundraising strategy that will ensure the organisations aims and objective are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

Review the current communications and fundraising strategy, identifying areas for growth.

To ensure existing campaigns are promoted in a timely manner to generate more exposure and lead to more income generation.

To contribute in preparing a viable longer-term fundraising & communications strategy

In the short-term, to sustain membership and supporter donations, ensuring the communications, events and social media provide position statements on key developments in a timely manner to generate interest

To work in line with set fundraising budgets, ensuring effectiveness and efficiency across all our fundraising and communications activities

Essential criteria to be considered:

Significant experience in Fundraising and Communications, ideally within a membership organisation.

Significant experience in communicating key messages in various formats and tailoring the message to suit the audience.

Substantial senior management experience including planning, budgeting, evaluating and people management

Knowledge of legislation, regulations and financial issues relating to fundraising and communications
