Head of Fundraising Standards and Operations

Job description

Teenager Cancer Trust are recruiting for a Head of Fundraising Standards and Operations in order to lead on a business critical function. The successful candidate will be expected to be a brilliant leader with stacks of emotional intelligence and stakeholder engagement skills. You will be the charity's strategic lead for fundraising data operations, data analysis, fundraising standards and supporter care, supporting transformational growth across the fundraising portfolio.

Key responsibilities
Bring significant expertise to develop the Fundraising Standards and Operations function and develop ways of working and processes across the Department, and the wider organisation, to ensure the success of the team.
Lead a significant change programme and establish the Fundraising Standards and Operations function within the Public Fundraising Department, a team which will be critical to our future success.
Lead the development of the Fundraising Standards and Operations strategy and robust business plans.
Lead a team to deliver tasks, initiatives and projects to underpin delivery of the strategy; supporting other Heads of Fundraising and Deputy Directors in so doing and providing meaningful data insight and analysis to inform and report on activity.
Provide the strategic insight needed on key quality metrics and performance to ensure that the Directorate is on track in delivering relevant objectives and outstanding customer experience across the board.
Select, negotiate and manage contracts with external suppliers to deliver timely, compliant and cost effective activities.
Be responsible for ensuring best practice in delivery of Fundraising Operations activities and compliance with all applicable laws and best practice, managing reputational risk.
Oversee the delivery of effective and compliant Gift Aid processes and timely claims.

Person specification
Provide project leadership, support and as needed project management for all cross-team initiatives.
With the support of Fundraising Standards and Operations Managers to deliver strategies for Supporter Care, Data Analysis, Data Operations and Supporter Standards and Operations that support the delivery of the overall Fundraising strategy.
Provide coaching, guidance and direction for direct reports to contribute to the delivery of projects and initiatives that support the delivery of the new Fundraising strategy.
Role model excellence in management, coaching, giving and receiving feedback and developing teams.
Keeping across external and internal developments that may affect the implementation of plans in Fundraising Standards and Operations and providing input or change management as required.
To develop a new Data Analysis function for fundraising that can provide complex data selections and supporter insight to inform plans and delivery and support the delivery of an integrated fundraising portfolio.
To work with stakeholders to develop KPIs for Fundraising Standards and Operations, monitor progress, and work with the team to ensure that KPIs are met or exceeded.
To ensure that the Fundraising Standards and Operations team is working to challenging but achievable objectives and that rolling annual targets are met or exceeded.
To identify and implement ways of managing resources efficiently and effectively to ensure that the charity's is making the most of opportunities as they develop.
