Harris Hill are delighted to be working with a fantastic charity in their search for an enthusiastic Head of Income Generation & Engagement in order to build and deliver the charity s fundraising and communications strategy to attract the support the organisation needs to deliver their vision of a world where diversity is celebrated.

This will be a permanent, part-time role (3-4 days a week) with a flexible opportunity of working from home, with 1 day a week in London.

You will join a fast growing charity with an income approaching 1M- sourced mainly from trust & foundations, major donors, and successful fundraising gala dinners.
You will establish a robust strategy that aligns the charity s communications and fundraising functions and that helps the charity to build on successes to date as well as source new supporters and revenue streams
You will motivate and empower a high performing team, and support others to achieve new successes in fundraising and communications
You will develop new relationships with corporates, major donors, and other potential new supporters
You will create systems for income forecasting, business planning, and fundraising reporting to senior leaders, trustees, and programme managers
You will key deliverables for this role in the first three years include an engagement and income generation strategy, an organisational business model, an ethical fundraising strategy, national media exposure, and a 20%+ increases in income.

Person Specification:

Demonstrable understanding of and experience in fields relating to interfaith, community relations, diversity & inclusion or similar
Demonstrable significant experience in strategic planning and business development
Proven success in charity income-generation and communications, with evidence of the ability to achieve income targets in excess of 500k/year from a range of fundraising streams.
Extensive professional networks in fundraising and/or communications with the ability to bring new supporters to our work
Management or decision-making experience in the charity sector or a related field
Experience of writing proposals for and pitching to donors
Knowledge of grant giving bodies and application processes in the UK
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to influence and motivate supporters and to hold sensitive stakeholder relationships
Excellent people management skills, a collaborative approach to leadership and the ability to motivate and empower staff across the team
Proven ability to oversee multiple priorities and hold a wide portfolio of work
Experience of creating and managing budgets and using databases, e.g., Salesforce
A creative, entrepreneurial, and innovative approach and ability to generate new ideas
Desirable:
Experience of monitoring and evaluation

Salary: 45,921 FTE ( 27,553- 36,737 for 3-4 days a week)
