Head of Policy and Research

Job description

A leading international development charity is looking for its next Head of Policy and Research to develop and lead its global research and advocacy strategy.

As part of the charity's Senior Management Team, your responsibilities will be varied across external relations, research strategy, policy and advocacy. For example, you will have lead responsibility for reshaping the INGO's global advocacy strategy in close consultation with your US and Brussels colleagues. You will also have line management responsibilities, with between 4 and 6 direct line reports.

As such you will be a policy and advocacy professional with strong research skills; experience in an international development setting is also preferred, ideally with a peacebuilding or security focus.

This position is full time and permanent, paying 40,000 - 45,000 p.a. The charity also has flexible working and working from home policies in place, and also operates on a flat organisational structure: in short, it is a flexible, open and collaborative place to work.

I am working as the charity's exclusive recruitment partner to a deadline of 25th November, with applications being sent on a rolling basis, and the charity may interview before the deadline: if you are interested in this position, please send your most recent CV to harry.marven@harrishill.co.uk . Please note that only suitable candidates will be contacted.
