This is a unique opportunity to join a well-loved and established health charity as their brand new Head of Policy, Campaigns and Public Affairs.  

The organisation has been expanding its policy and influencing capability over the last two years, launching major campaigns and setting an overall influencing objective. This exciting new Head of Policy, Campaigns and Public Affairs role will be responsible for shaping the new 10 year policy and influencing strategy and team.

With a proven track record in delivering successful policy initiatives, you will shape the direction of policy for the charity across all four nations.

Your instinctive ability to lead, inspire and manage teams, enabling their development and professional growth, will allow you to successfully build and lead the UK-wide policy and influencing team from the ground up.

Your experience successfully building and managing relationships with senior stakeholders will allow you to leverage these relationships to deliver policy change and build a network relevant to policy influencing.

You will utilize your senior policy experience to confidently advise the organisations SLT and trustees on a strategy that will hit objectives and support key decisions to build a successful and impactful Policy team.

This charity currently support over 900,000 people living with dementia in the UK, a number expected to rise to 1 million by 2025. The charity’s specialist nurses provide life changing support to the families affected by all forms of dementia, including alzheimer’s. Looking to transform dementia care in the UK so that all families affected by dementia can access specialist and compassionate dementia support, this role will be vital in improving support through campaigning and policy change.  

The ideal candidate for the role will have:

-        Solid policy, campaigns and public affairs experience

-        Experience of developing and delivering policy influencing initiatives and strategies

-        Excellent experience managing and building teams

-        Substantial knowledge of best practice approaches to policy, campaigns and public affairs

-        Solid senior stakeholder management experience

Location – London (Hybrid working)

Contract – Permanent  

Salary - £58,000
